Top 100 SA Wines is a new, innovative, premium brand based around South Africa’s finest wines. It will re-position South Africa’s top wines with clarity, vigour and integrity. Consumer friendly and simple, we “de-myth the bunk”, yet keep the romance of fine wine flowing.
Top 100 SA Wines offers the premier fine-wine judged competition and consumer festival in South Africa. Our consumer guide and website maintain a current showcase of winning wines and vineyards. We encourage winemakers from all South African vineyards to enter their fine wines.
Judging
The Top 100 SA Wine Challenge will provide an objective, independent and professional rating of South Africa’s fine wines. Judging panels will each be made up of the highest quality experts. There will be 2 tasting panels of 4 judges. Each panel to comprise 2 SA judges and 2 international judges, at least 2 on each panel will be MW, including Tim Atkin MW, Sam Harrop MW, Jamie Goode and other renowned critics.
We have found professionals whose sharp and educated palates are well-respected both for accuracy as well as for objectivity. Internationally, we have sourced top representation from key markets including the USA and Europe.
At the end of judgement week only the top 100 wines come through regardless of cultivar or category.
