Details
A complex aroma with prominent notes of cassis and cedar wood. This is backed up with a combination of blackberries, raspberries, hints of spice and pencil shaving which is characteristic to Cabernet Sauvignon from the Helderberg region. A well integrated wine, with subtle tannins and juicy mouth feel. The dark fruit shows exceptional follow through, and the wine has great structure, and a long lingering finish.
In the Cellar
Fermentation took place in open top fermentors and was followed by a maceration period of 14 days after primary fermentation. The wine was matured in first fill French oak for 18 months.
