An intense dark red verging on purple in colour. Aromas of cassis and sandlewood with gripping tannins and ripe blackcurrant flavours on the palate. Smooth and silky finish with structure and depth. A classic example of elegant yet structured Cabernet Sauvignon from Glen Carlou’s most outstanding vineyard block, situated near to the original gravel quarry on Glen Carlou.
Harvested in early March 2004. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks for 14 days followed by 10 days skin contact. Barrel aged for 16 months in 100% New French Oak Barrels. Bottled end of July 2005.
