Details
Bright intense aromas of red berry fruit supported by toasty oak. A full palate with lots of fresh red berry fruit flavours and a long intense finish.
Borg Family Shiraz 2006 is hand crafted from grapes grown on cool south facing vineyards. The light textured decomposed granite soils contribute to this wines vibrant fruit and elegant mouth feel. The grapes were picked during the third week of February 2006. We utilised a basket press and ran the new wine directly into a carefully selected mix of American and French oak barrels.
The wine enjoyed a light fining but has not been filtered, and so may throw a small harmless deposit. We hand bottled in late January 2007.
"We hope that you enjoy drinking this elegant fruity 2006 Shiraz as much as we enjoyed making it." Jeremy Borg
