Details
Ripe plum, strawberry, black cherries mingle with vanilla and peppery spice on the nose. Full rounded mouth with clean, toasty oak backing. Rounded mouth moves into supple tannin finish. Long aftertaste suggests good development potential yet already very accessible.
Vinification
Grapes were harvested in early March 2005. The whole berries were cold soaked and fermented dry on the skin. After the wine had completed the malolactic fermentation, it was racked into new French oak barrels where it matured for 12-15 months. The wine was then filtered and bottled.
Vines are planted in red gravel soil with patches of lime in between. Optimum canopy management is utilized.
