Bright straw hue with the nose presenting orange blossom, chamomile, elderflower leading to lime cordial and yellow fruit sorbet. Washed stoned, musk, lanolin and spice continue from the nose onto the palate. The structure is taught, fresh with broad vinosity on the mid-palate and a long aromatic finish.
The grapes were whole bunch pressed before light settling and then fermented in a combination of 300l second-fill French oak barrels and a 2500l foudré. The wine was then aged on its lees for 13 months before three further months aging in stainless steel tank before bottling.
This wine will drink best over the next two to six years.
