Amarula is made from the fruit grown on the wild Marula trees, an indigenous plant found in subequatorial Africa, in the lush open Savannah. It is a pale yet rich looking liqueur with fresh and exotic fruit on the nose. It is smooth and silky with a warm toffee alcoholic heart.
The Majestic African elephant has given rise to the name you will most likely hear locals say when referring to the tree – the “Elephant tree”. The name stems from great numbers of elephants gathering in herds to feed on the rich diet of the berries.
Amarula is made of natural ingredients, it can be drunk neat over ice or used in cocktails and shots.
