This Rhône-styled blend is created out of a mixture of perfumed varieties including Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsaut, and Viognier, a strong core of Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine emits a complex and spellbinding bouquet filled with French perfume, chai tea, bacon fat and brambleberry notes. On the palate, rich strawberry flavours mingle with savoury roast beef sensations. Medium-bodied and juicy, the wine finishes with a salty dark chocolate and pomegranate swirl with lovely smooth, yet dry tannins, and a lengthy finish.
The wine spent 14 months maturing in 80% 300-litre French oak barrels and 20% 300-litre American oak barrels.
